It is Halloween time!!! Unfortunately I don’t have any children, but I do have my dog Payton. He is a red nose Pit Bull. I thought I would share some of the pictures I have taken of him in his “costumes”. I just want to make this clear, I am NOT one of those people who put costumes on him & parade him all around town in. I just goof around at home & see what I can get away with. My fun usually last about 10 seconds (if that).

Yesterday 09/09/09, my company had a Happy Hour Party at a local Restaurant, Dave & Busters. The theme was to wear the most Outlandish shoes you have. There was a contest & the winner received a $50 Gift Card to DSW.
I didn’t have Crazy shoes to wear, so I was talking to Sean & Tawnua (brother & Sis-n-law) about this event. I was joking around & said I could wear his “Asian” Shoes called, Geta Sandals. Sean then suggested that I wear his “Battle Boots”. Right away I jumped on that idea. I knew no one would have anything like that. Most of the girls are Girly Girls. I tried his boots on & they fit (a little big, but I still could walk in them). I even put together an outfit that would go along with the boots. The night before I tried everything on & I felt like a getty girl again. I knew I have the Shoes to beat!
I will try to describe these boots. Imagine regular above the knee “Pirate Boots” with Shin Guards & Spikes strapped to the boot. Although these were not really Shin Guards, Sean made these Guards by hand. I wore a black knee length skirt with a red Shirt & Black Studded belt. I was ready to go. I felt like Abby on NCIS.
The next day the girls in the office asked if I had my shoes. I told them I did, but would let them see it until we were going to the restaurant. I couldn’t wait for the day to end so I could put on my Shoes. That day would never end!! It dragged on & on! Finally when our work day ended I changed into my ”outfit”. My office loved it. We all decided to all go together in our manager’s car.
We got to Dave & Busters & when I was walking in I thought oh no, they might not let me in because of the Spikes on my Boots. They could be considered as weapons. So the girls huddled around me as we went in the restaurant. Thankfully there was no issue. As we found our way to the group of girls that were already there, I noticed my Co-workers with the San Diego Charges were there. OMG!!! I am decked out in this crazy outfit, What are they going to think?? LMAO!! I said my Hello’s & explained why I was dressed the way I was. They all laughed.
The happy hour went on with some incredible appetizers & drinks. Then it was show & tell time. We all showed off our Outlandish shoes to the Judges, our waitresses. The judges deliberated & chose ME as the winner. YAA!!! I was told to take my gift card & “Please go & buy a new pair of shoes.”
Here is a few pictures of me in my Outlandish shoes with my PRIZE!! I also did a slideshow of my compotation.

A coworker of mine sent this to me today. It was so funny that I had tears in my eyes.. I just had to share.. There is a couple I disagree with (like #2,#7 & 10) ENJOY!!!!
3. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I’m trying to finish a text.
4. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
5. There is a great need for sarcasm font.
6. Lol has gone from meaning, “laugh out loud” to “I have nothing else to say”.
7. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
8. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
9. I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was younger.
10. Was learning cursive really necessary?
11. How many times is it appropriate to say “What?” before you just nod and smile because you still didn’t hear what they said?
12. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!
13. While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it…thanks Mario Kart.
14. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
15. I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.
16. Bad decisions make good stories
17. Whenever I’m Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don’t mind if I do!
18. Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier & sluttier every year?
19. Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I’m from, this shouldn’t be a problem….
20. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you’ve made up your mind that you just aren’t doing anything productive for the rest of the day.
21. “Do not machine wash or tumble dry” means I will never wash this ever.
22. I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There’s so much pressure. ‘I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren’t watching this. It’s only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?’
23. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
24. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.
25. I keep some people’s phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

Two weekends ago was BASEBALL weekend. (I am a little behind times right now..life has been busy)
The Milwaukee Brewers were in town to play the San Diego Padres. My parents are from Wisconsin, so grew up a Brewer fan (when they are in town). I grew up here in San Diego so I am more of a Padres fan. I have to root for the Brewers when they are in town.
So this weekend I got the best of both worlds. Saturday night Robert & I took or roommates Mark & Josh. Josh is 5 & Mark is 40 something. LOL Mark had never been to Petco Park. So we thought we would show him around the stadium. We took them through the Western Metal Supply Company Building. (The business that became Western Metal Supply Company in 1902 was established in 1888 by brothers Bernard and George McKenzie. It originally specialized in steel distribution, wagon makers’ materials, and blacksmith’s supplies, and later evolved into a large hardware wholesale operation, adding plumbing, auto supplies, pipe fittings, equipment for automobiles and gasoline engines, roofing supplies and sporting goods to its inventory.)

Western Metal Supply Co.
Inside the building on the second floor they have a display of the items from the History of San Diego Baseball. Here’s a picture of the boys checking it out.

History of Baseball in San Diego
On the bottom floor is the Gift shop. A secret place in that if you got straight in when you enter & go down the ramp (to where the little kids stuff is) there is a gated section of the left field. If you stand there you are actually on the field. We went to that area when the Brewers were having batting practice. A lot of the balls were hit in that area while the Pitching staff was warming up in that area. I was sporting my Brewers Tee shirt (actually it was one of my softball uniforms-but we won’t tell anyone. That is until I turn around you can read Tam-Tam #32) LOL. I was taking picture’s of the players there. On of the Brewers came over to the fence & gave me a baseball. I was so ecstatic. Of course I gave it to Josh. After all what 5 year old doesn’t want a Major League baseball from a game. I found out later the Brewer that gave me the ball was the Bullpen coach Stan Kyles.

Stan Kyles #53
(I wish I had a better picture)
The Padres ended up winning that on Saturday night the Padres won 4-2.
On Sunday Robert & took my Dad to the Game. This was a day game. I just love day games. Expecially in Sunny San Diego. The weather was perfect (in the shade). There was a nice breeze . After all the Stadium is built next to the bay. (I know Bragger..LOL)
On Sunday’s the Padres invite the Marines Recruits from our local Base “MCRD“. These recruits are set to graduate within the next few weeks. (By this time they have already graduated)

USMC RECRUITS
My Dad was a Marine that actually graduated from this base back in 1969.

MCRD
This game was a plus for all of us. We got to watch their closing pitcher Trevor Hoffman. For those of you that don’t know him, he was with the closing pitcher for the Padres from 1993 to 2008. He is one of the best closing pitchers ever.

Trevor Hoffman
The Brewer’s beat the Padres 6 to 1 at this game.
Overall it was a great Baseball weekend.

Ok a week has passed since we went to see Fiddler on the Roof. I have been really busy at work. Robert & I thoroughly enjoyed it very much. I really hadn’t seen the movie so I didn’t know what to expect.
Let me give my positive:
Topol was wonderful to watch. I felt like he was the character. It props, backdrops was wonderful. I loved how they used the outside of the houses & then opened them up for the inside. Everything moved around the stage like it was on a magnet track. It was neat to watch. The actors’ singing was wonderful. I got to watch my husband smile & thoroughly enjoy himself. He always goes around the house singing “If I were a rich man…” I think he loves seeing it live. The price was great $16.50 each ticket. Total $33.00. This was the first play Robert & I went to together. Defiantly want to go to more in the future.
The negatives:
We sat way up in the back of the theater. (I guess you get what you paid for). The first act seamed to take forever. I was beginning to wonder when the admission was going to be. Then the second act was over before we knew it.
Overall:
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was very forclempt at the end knowing it was Topol’s final tour. I would give it a B+

I am excited!! I just drove to Downtown San Diego to get tickets for Fiddler on the Roof. (Hate the traffic, love to buildings).

I think I got a great deal. Two tickets cost $32.00 total. Some plays have what they call “UT LITERACY DISCOUNT OFFER.“
I will try to post tomorrow & give my critic.. Till then
